BECOME A MEMBER

YRACA is proudly a Traditional Custodian membership based organisation. YRACA welcomes members from the entire Yugambeh Community.

The benefits of becoming a member of YRACA include:

  • Supporting the creation of generational pathways as a Traditional Owner collective, representing shared voice across the community.

  • Having an incorporated body advocate for you and/or your businesses cultural dealings.

  • Being a part of a Yugambeh collective to showcase our culture in a cooperative way to the broader community at a local, national and international level.

  • Providing an avenue for strengthening family connections across the region.

To become a member, it is a requirement the applicant be a Traditional Custodian of the Yugambeh Language Group region and demonstrate their apical ancestor links. All members are required to abide by the Code of Conduct (pdf) once membership is approved by YRACA.

As outlined in the Rule Book of the Yugambeh Region Aboriginal Corporation Alliance (YRACA), to become a member of YRACA you must be:

• at least 18 years old
• an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and descendant of Yugambeh Apical Ancestors.
